Three days after Amy and Georges wedding, we got up at 3am to travel from Luton Airport in London to fly to Reykjavik, Iceland. After the 3 hour flight, we landed at 9am Reykjavik time and took the FlyBus into the city center to pick up our rental car. Our initial thoughts of the landscape were that it was most similar to our visit to Hawaii, and how it would feel to drive on the moon. From here we drove straight to Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon is a very popular tourist destination, and I can totally see why. The geothermal hot spring is ice blue in color and piping hot for a windy, Iceland day. There is fresh drinking water available to you in the hot spring too. With your price of admission you also get a face mask to leave on. We had a great time, and I highly recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the crowds.
