Even some of the little trees had their fall colors ready for changing.
The day was full of tricks (like going to an actual movie theater for the first time in months where it is icy cold and no eating or drinking is allowed while you sit very far away from other people in your mask the whole time watching the really strange film "Witches")....
Have I mentioned how grateful I am to have a job lately, because, I absolutely am. It breaks my heart to see all the layoffs back in the states, especially to my Disney family. And with Disneyland Paris reclosing, it all hits a little too close to home. I am so ready to once again be where the people truly are. Hong Kong has been doing really well, with 0 local cases for almost a whole week now. HK Disneyland is up to 75% capacity, and with Christmas just around the corner now, it's been pretty busy (literally, the park already has the Christmas tree up before Halloween even happened). Grateful, grateful, grateful to be swimming with this little fish again during this time.
Mike comes to the park almost every Wednesday to hang out. We got some really yummy, new treats from Toy Story Land that I just have to share about! These little green guys were a steamed bun filled with a sweet custard. They are so good they usually sell out of them every day by mid day.
We also recently had the Halloween spicy pork burger, with it's cute and really tasty pumpkin bread! Our pumpkin had obviously seen better days, ha, but it was still good.
Popping up for a surprise visit now are my favorites, Duffy and friends, this friend in particular being Cookie Ann! I am still holding out to see Stella Lou the bunny though, cause I adore her.
Also, finally met the one and only Iron Man and his Marvel buddies, Spiderman and Black Panther.
And we can't forget the new castle that is almost complete! It was just announced it will be finished by November 21! Yay!
Another fun Disney adventure was going to high tea at the Disneyland hotel with some of my cast mates. We had a great time sipping our passion fruit tea and enjoying all of our delicate treats.
Everything was really tasty, except the green cucumber mint jelly, which seemed to not really be anyones cup of tea.
But the rest of the sweets made up for it.
Such a fun time!
In other, non Disney related news, if you have been following along on my instagram (@Theprincesssdiaries), you'll see every Friday there is a new episode of The Right Stuff on Disney+ and Mike and I have been playing Where's Worboys to locate ourselves (see my last blog post
here if you missed the first few episodes!). Below, you will find episodes 3, 4, and 5 of our tv making magic. I am not seen as much because I am slowly in the background behind the scenes more, on set wrangling, but Mike is starting to pop up more.

Mike and I were so lucky to join the film industry when we did, and had such a good time doing it, we even made some possibilities for ourselves out here in HK with it. Working on a media campaign for Australians to visit Hong Kong when the time comes gives me hope that travel will eventually be possible once again, someday (hopefully soon). When the campaign comes out, hopefully we will be able to share more details and even some media of it!
Our other big, non Disney, adventure for the week was
biking 15 miles with Lindsey, starting in Tai Wai and ending in Tai Mai Tuk. We rented bikes from a local shop in Tai Wai and then biked til our legs fell off, riding along the riverside.
and also stopped for a classic
Mister Softee ice cream cone treat, and it truly felt like summer.
Also, we accidentally found the Epcot ball along the way, ha!

We ended in Tai Mai Tuk just as the sun was going down over the beautiful overpass, and could not have timed it better. Thank goodness we could drop our bikes off at this point, and didn't have to bike all 15 miles back.
We were starving after and decided to extend our day adventure into a night adventure by visiting
Temple Street Night Market for dinner. We ended up at
Manakamana Nepali Restaurant, and this was hands down thee best Indian food I have ever had (Lindsey agrees and hates me for this photo, lol).
You can't go to Temple Street without visiting
Mammy Pancake for a bubble waffle, and this one filled with chocolate chips was one of my favorites.
I am really saddened to see the actually market of Temple Street disappearing. During this pandemic, there are obviously no tourists allowed into HK, and with no tourists, the market stall owners have pulled out their license and stalls. It seems HK does not have interest in allowing these stall owners to return to their line of work by not allowing them their license back. We shall see if this changes when the country begins to open back up to tourism or not.
Mong Kok Ladies market also has a similar issue. We visited earlier in the week to grab a bubble tea and walk the stalls, but the stalls were non existent! My
Xing Fu Tang bubble tea was amazing though! It was a mango smoothie with fruity flavored homemade, chewy bobba, complete with a panna cotta bunny!
As a performer, I have had a hard time ever changing my look, especially my hair color, but since I am not in a place where I am able to audition, I decided to do something a little crazy to my hair, and go for some whiter blonde highlights.

my face is in here somewhere... |
I was really scared at first when I saw how white it looked, but I think it turned out great!
On that note, I think it is safe to say it is officially Christmas season in Hong Kong (since Thanksgiving is not celebrated), which means this nightmare of a year is almost over! Hooray! Now go out and VOTE!
