when we're together it's a holiday everyday

Before we got into the full swing of Thanksgiving, we got to celebrate Elysia's birthday! Elysia and I stayed at the frozen suite at the HK Disneyland hotel, and had the most magical time.

We had to work in the morning, so we made the most of a true HK Disneyland birthday.

We finally got over to the suite to actually check in, and we were absolutely blown away.

There was also a familiar face on the tv screen-
The room was already beautiful, but we had to add a few decorations for the Frozen Queens birthday-
Upon arrival, we had our included high tea delivered for our afternoon snack, and they were really accommodating to Elysia's food allergies-
When you stay in the suite, there is a constantly flow of drinks and snacks they are trying to give you in the lounge. Breakfast the next morning was also served there and included-
We did not realize how full we would be, but ended up booking the buffet dinner at Enchanted Garden. Food options were unlimited, and it was very yummy. It felt like a true Disney vacation meal.
This little doughnut was actually my favorite dessert of the night.
One of the reasons dinner felt so magical was because of the character greeting we had in the middle of dinner. Pluto and Minnie were showing off their adorable Christmas outfits!
We also got to meet Mickey in his pajamas before we went to bed!
And our other favorite special guest meet and greet for the night was from Elinor!
It has been relatively warm outside, except the 48 hours we were here, but we forced ourselves to have a little pool time anyways. The cold also brought the Frozen theming to life a bit and made Christmas actually seem around the corner.
It is always so lovely being at the Disneyland Hotel during Christmas time to see all the holiday decorations!

But before we jump fully into Christmas, we had to celebrate Thanksgiving! With Halloween lasting several months finally coming to a close, it was time to begin the hunt for Thanksgiving foods for our classic feast. We found our turkey a lot earlier this year which was a relief, but Elysia is gluten free and we had to get a little creative in finding her some gluten free alternatives for side dishes. Luckily, everything turned out amazing, and I am very excited to never cook a Thanksgiving meal in a toaster over again.

so full-

We had started our Thanksgiving morning with a sunrise hike on Wang Chau near our home. It was a chilly morning, but we had a lovely time.

We had also had a little friendsgiving autumn dinner party earlier in the week to celebrate. Bayley made us an amazing meal of warm breads with brie, salad, carrot soup, and tiramisu for dessert.

When not eating holiday foods, we're eating regular delicious meals from places like-

Mexican food from my favorite El Macho
some catch ups with former cast members as well <3
Brunch at Mr Wolf
The Mills Tap House chicken and toast and cubano
Above is my new favorite place to get donuts in HK, that almost taste like Krispy Kreme, from Nuts

We also had a big birthday party for all the November babies that we work with at the Doghouse Kowloon, where I did not take a single photo of food, haha, but it was delicious.
The theme was patterns on patterns, so Elysia and I complied.

To work off all this holiday food (kidding! enjoy your holiday meals), I tried out an aerialist hoop class, which has always been on my bucket list. The teacher was a friend of mine from our halloween show, and Alison is a great teacher! It was incredibly hard, especially on the hands, but we had fun!

HK Disneyland is still only open 5 days a week at the moment, but for the holiday season, we have a few weeks of it being opened 7 days. Ariel and I are getting some swimming in together when we're not out in the park playing in the snoap and eating Christmas snacks.

Even some of the shopping malls have gotten into the holiday spirit, like this one in Tuen Mun with the HK Disney decor-

and this one in Tsuen Wan with a  Frozen theme
Lee Tung Ave-

There have been some holiday gatherings already as well, but I am looking forward to more of them during this busy season.
hot chocolate and movie nights

and on that note, MERRY (almost) CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!
