have fun! even if it's not the same kind of fun everyone else is having

My last blogpost I started talking about all the Christmas events happening at the theme parks around Orlando, and we have now done the trifecta of Orlando theme parks this Christmas, Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. Our Disney day was super fun because our friends, the Trislers came along with us!

We had a great time catching up, and checking out all there was to see at Animal Kingdom.

We had some yummy treats like the pumpkin cream cheese muffin (so moist and delicious!)-
and ate in Pandora, which is always my favorite.

We saw another blast from the HK past, Dante, singing in Lion King!
Love that the tumble monkeys are back! Nemo's new show version I found to like more, with it's faster pace, but still recognizable songs.
From here, we said bye to our friends, and hello to Epcot for the Festival of the Holidays!
One of our first stops was to Moana Journey of Water, the new walk through attraction.

Of course we had to get some delicious treats, and let me tell you, the nitro frozen Mickey chocolate bar was hands down one of the best things.
The Italian Montenegro was also good, it was deep fried dough balls almost like a funnel cake with mariana sauce and parmesan.
One of the highlights of my day was running into Figment, who greeted us with a little dance.
And the most Christmas-y thing to do in Epcot is to ride Living with the Land and see all the Christmas decor.
All in all it was a super fun, low stress Disney day!

Another fun park day with Trislers was to SeaWorld, where we caught another show with another HK friend, Emily, and a Halloween buddy, Seamus! O Wondrous Night is such a beautiful show with live animals, and the camels steal the show every year!
We also watched the Ice Skating show while we snacked on some yummy pork/chicken waffles and cream cheese molten pumpkin cake.
We watched the last ice skating show and stayed in our places for the Christmas fireworks. It was actually my first time seeing it. Although it was a great viewing area, be aware, you are veryy close to the fireworks actually going off, and you kind of feel it in your soul.
SeaWorld also had a Christmas party for it's employees and their family members, where we got to have a delicious turkey dinner and meet Santa and all his elves!
SeaWorld does a really great job with it's Christmas time activities. I met up with Olivia, who also just got home from HK, and we watched "The Santa Claus" at Aquatica on the big beach screen! It was so fun, and I loved getting to catch up with her!
Even if you're not visiting the parks this year, the best way to get into the Christmas spirit is by being together. Holli and I went to our friend Bayley's Christmas tea party, where we all picked out our costumes and got to know some new friends by celebrating with a delicious tea spread.
You can always count on Bayley's party to have the best food!
We then settled into our jammies to watch Little Women.
It was super fun, and I am so happy to be surrounded by such good friends. We also met up with Lindsey and Guy, our other HK friends, for "Oh What Fun" at Lake Nona, where we saw our friend Lisa perform and had tasty food.
Mike and I felt very in the Christmas spirit, and drove around the area a bit with our Wawa hot chocolates and Christmas carols playing in the car while we looked at Christmas lights. Some houses really go all out!
On Christmas Eve, our family usually gets together at Bethany and Logans, and since we already live here, we beat the rush. We had a great evening having gourmet grilled cheese, mulled wine, mince pies, playing games, and singing Christmas songs.

It's funny to me how much we find ourselves in HK without actually being in HK. We meet up with all our HK friends, and we visit places with HK treats, like the new Bakery 1908. You can find pineapple buns, different variety of swiss roll cakes, egg tarts, and other Asian baked goods.
We also went to The Mongolorian near by, which is a must for any Mandolorian fan. It was very tasty, and the portion was giant.
On actual Christmas day, Mike and I both had to work, however, because we were both there, we actually got to spend some time together, and have a lovely turkey lunch provided together.
I was grateful to just get to spend time together this year, especially cause Mike got to go home to see his family in Brockport the week before too. When we got home from work, we had a big family dinner complete with watching the Grinch and doing holiday face masks.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
