From here on out don’t invite me to anything that doesn’t have air conditioning

I remember when my niece Ailey was first born, and we all were talking about her graduation year being 2024, and how incredibly far away that felt. Somehow that time flew by, and this girl is a high school graduate! Which is blowing my mind but how proud we are of her is even more insane!

So happy we could be home to celebrate with the family and attend her graduation party.
My mom also came down for the celebration, and got to stay with us for a few weeks. She was a big help in painting projects in our house, but we also found time for some fun stuff!
We took her to Disney Springs to eat all the viral foods like the cookie dough croissant from Amorette's Patisserie, which was delicious.
We also tried the grilled cheese donut from Everglazed, which I was sadly disappointed by, and did not love. The regular maple bacon donut was incredible though.
We then had to walk off all those sweets.
We also usually take a little boat trip to the resorts from Disney Springs, but since it wasn't running, we took a little skyliner adventure instead.
Where we found a boat to the boardwalk anyways!
This very kind lady gave me a Mother Gothel pin because of my shirt too! Thank you kind stranger!
Mom also came to SeaWorld one day to hang out with us at work.
Mike and I had to work, but we got to come out on breaks and pet the stingrays, see the sea lions, and  have some lunch and treats.
We also saw the new 60th anniversary parade.
It's been great having mom here, and she has been the best helper with house projects. There have actually been a lot of house projects to prepare for all the summer guests we are having, and it feels like it is really coming together. The biggest project was getting the garage door fixed, and now it finally works!

In the below photo you can see the before, where the door was all beat up from the previous owner driving into it on accident, and the white front door.

The front door got a make over, and is now the perfect shade of blue!

The front entryway and living room area are a work in progress still. We found a tree decoration on the side of the road and we added some glitter, and a little love and it was the perfect addition to our nature vibe. We also had built some wooden shelves and are loving being able to get creative again.
(before for reference below)
The dining room is also still a work in progress but it is coming along-
(before below)
The office (which started off being called the blue room), has transformed into a more normal color, perfect for self tapes. Thanks mom for painting!

When Ailey and Etta had a sleepover I even let them sleep in the office, and not on the very soft bathroom floor rugs they wanted to sleep on.
Our backyard bunnies have been thriving also, and we have seen about 3 now. They're getting so big and brave and even venture to the front yard on their own...they grow up so fast..

Our papaya tree though finally grew some papaya!!

We are also super happy our neighborhood pool opened up just in time for the summer. You can catch us there almost every day because it is so beautiful.
Before mom left, we had a big get together with the family to celebrate, complete with Karen cupcakes!

Mom, so glad you got to come visit and see our house!! Now we get to prepare for our next summer visitor...who is it gonna be?!
