shes at peace and yet somehow on fire

Happy Thanksgiving! This year I am especially grateful to have a new home to celebrate our first Thanksgiving in together. We had Bethany and Logan over to cook in our new homes kitchen, and NOT in a toaster oven!

We started the day with the best part, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and some treaties.
For our grand feast we had some of the usual classics like turkey, stuffing, corn casserole, and pumpkin pie. Bethany and Logan also graciously made us some sweet potato mash, homemade bread, veggies, and apple crisp.
While digesting, we did some old traditions like played some games and did some new traditions like hanging out in the hot tub.

I also have a very special thing to be thankful for this year. I have a new opportunity that has also arose as well. As if I am not busy enough… I also was just hired seasonally at Universal Studios on the Talent Casting and Booking Coordinator team! I am really excited to be joining back on the Universal side of things right as Epic Universe, their new park gets ready to open. The last time I was working at Universal was 2012 on their Christmas team, and ironically all my paperwork signing dates lined up to be the exact same, just 12 years later. So keep an eye out for me at auditions!!

I will still be doing production work as well. Since I am only seasonal with Universal at the moment and freelance with production, andddd currently still part time with SeaWorld, my life is pretty busy. I get the pleasure of seeing and working with family when I get them to come on set with me, which is always nice.
Mike and I have been burning off steam lately by jumping on the pickleball trend. We are lucky to have great friends and neighbors to play with!
And when we play, I can treaties from Steak and Shake after!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, this means the holidays are officially coming!! Time to do all the holiday theme park things and I am excited this year to have some family come visit!

We went to the SeaWorld Christmas party both as employees and had a lovely little dinner.
We also went to Universal with Bethany to get some Christmas time in... and see my bestie the Grinch!
We also got our annual holiday visit to Disney in. We started the day off with breakfast at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort, but their kitchen was down and they were serving a limited menu. We tried tonga toast for the first time with the strawberry sauce which was yum.
We then took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom to hang out for the morning.
Mike was very excited to see he was still on the park map....
and then very broken hearted to see what people were doing with their park maps....
But all in all we had a great day.
Highlights were meeting some familiar faces!
But we can't go to Disney without telling you all what we ate...so-
Cheeseburger spring rolls (10/10)!
Maple Chicken and Mickey waffle from Sleepy Hallow, not bad, but we like the old version more.
And then moved over to Hollywood Studios where we tried the holiday whoopie pie from Trolley Car, which a little on the dry side and strong orange flavors.
and the new Oga's Cantina items, the flatbread and cheeseball, would definitely get both again.
But I also recommend a blue milk to calm down the bit of heat and spice.
We did have a great Disney day though.
and saved my favorite ride for last, the parking tram!
Santa actually came early this year though, and brought a fun surprise to our neighbors. We got a notification on Ring doorbell app that someone nearby had posted about a goat appearing on their driveway. Naturally, we ran over to see it, and sure enough, a goat!
We have no idea how she got here, but she was scared and pacing the driveway. The collar didn't say anything, but we assumed she was someones pet. It took animal control 24 hours to finally show up and collect her, but it did give someone else a chance to come pick her up. It broke my heart to see her go, but just hoping she finds her owners.
Another super fun early present from Santa, will be my next blog post, because Mike and I are going on Disney's newest cruise line ship, the Treasure! Right before Christmas, I will be working the media cruise before it's inaugural voyage, and Mike gets to tag along.
Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it!
