turkey, pie, and no politics
Somehow it's been a year since I started working at Universal! There was a little ceremony me and my seasonal buddies got to be celebrated at where we received our one year minion pins.
Congrats to all my team members and thank you Uni!I also got my free turkey from working at Universal, which was the perfect timing for Thanksgiving!Mike worked on Thanksgiving, but I spent the morning watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (my favorite part of the day) at Bethany's while we defrosted the turkey in a big bucket of water. All in all it was a great night, and I am thankful to my sister for opening her home up to us.
With Thanksgiving officially complete, it was time to move on to Christmas. I sang in my first ever Epcot Candlelight on Nov 29 with Constance Wu as the celebrity narrator. We had several rehearsals but no final dress rehearsal or anything, so for the first show I felt a little out of body trying to sing and figure out what was going on. Mike came to cheer me on though! You perform twice a night, so it was nice to be able to have a second chance where I was more aware. I really enjoyed it though, and if you have a chance to come this season, I will be performing again on Dec 27 and maybe some other pop up surprise evenings. There's a lot going on down here during the holiday season, which means a lot of work for me. I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Jodi Benson and Samantha Barks to film some content, and it was a Disney princess reunion!
I saw my name in the Disney Holiday Special credits on Disney+, which although it was spelled wrong, was my first time seeing my name in credits, and was a super cool experience!
We have also been busy filming some other secret projects I won't be able to tell you about for a while, but it's keeping me busy. I feel very lucky.
But never too busy for family time. I love the holidays cause usually the nieces are off school and I get to see them!Mike even had time to run a cast member 5k and get his fun medal!I also finally got to visit the famous Skyline Chili in Florida. We are big fans of the Cincinnati version, and I can say confidently this one was just as good, which is great because since my grandma's passing, my mom is looking to move back down to Orlando, and I am not sure when I will get it again.Stay tuned for more holiday content, because soon we are heading to meet the Grinch...a lot!
