twas the night before christmas and all through the house i was shoving 12 cookies straight into my mouth

Merry Christmas! Another year has come and gone, but this seems to be the Grinch-iest yet. After meeting the Grinch in Hollywood at Grinchmas, it was only fair to see him in Orlando as well. We booked Breakfast with the Grinch back in early November, right as the bid opened because it sells out fast. It was a cute little experience, and the food was really good.

The menu changes every year, but included was one giant cinnamon roll, which was our favorite bite of the morning.

Multiple beverages, the specialty being the green apple slush with a creamy topping.

You pick one entree each, Mike having the brisket and I tried the french toast. The food was really tasty, and I was pretty happy with it.

The experience isn't complete without visits from the Whos.

You also each get a pack of 2 green sugar cookies, and while these are super tasty, we had to take them with us because the sugar overload was happening.

Couldn't leave without saying hello to big green himself! We did still have to wait but maybe only 15 minutes to meet him instead of the outside cue which was over 3 hours.
We actually met the Grinch more than one time this day, because after breakfast, we had a VIP greeting set up with him! I promise he was thrilled to see us.

This wasn't our last of the Grinch. We then went to see the Grinchmas show!

It was in fact a very Grinchy Christmas this year. I worked so much in December pretty much straight up until Christmas Eve Eve, and with company coming, Mike and I didn't have a lot of time to buy gifts or do any sort of prep. Although we didn't watch the Universal Christmas parade this day, I had just done a job the week before and watched it before my Universal work pot luck.

With a lot of jobs comes a lot of Christmas pot lucks. I also had one with my Disney team, where I made corn casserole, and it was the crowd favorite!

My last day of work was a freelance job and it was nice to get to have a little holiday party with my freelance family.

Christmas Eve Eve finally came, we were finally off work, and made it to St Lukes for their Christmas Eve service.

Christmas Eve was a celebration at the Burrow with my family singing Christmas carols and eating delicious food.

Christmas day looked a little different this year. Mike had to work super early, so we didn't do Christmas morning together. Mid afternoon I went over to Emily's to hang with her family and my mom.

Mike made it over later for dinner and some games.
When we got home that evening we did our Christmas morning together, where we didn't have much for each other, but we are planning a big Disneyland trip in Feb we are considering our gift to one another.

Wouldn't be a holiday celebration without some Disney days in there too. Mike's family came down for 2 weeks to visit over the holidays where we got lots of park time in, along with a very short visit from Trislers!

We did 2 Disney days with Mikes family in the park, visiting all the stuff the 2 year old would be most interested in.

The family came to see my last Candlelight show at Epcot also.

There was a lot of playing in the backyard and park time, bubble time, as well as visiting Disney Springs, hot tub time, and all sorts of non stop activity. We also did a SeaWorld day, which was Mike and I's last time being able to use our annual passes for the year. This was a fun, memory making day.

I finally made it to the movie theater to see Wicked  For Good with my family, which I really enjoyed. I think I liked the first movie more but I did still like this one.

Mike and I also went to see Avatar, Fire and Ash, which he was really excited about and actually saw twice within a week span.

New Years was incredibly lame this year because I spent most of the day sick on the couch, and sleeping through the excitement. We went to bed early and set an alarm for 5 minutes til midnight. We woke up said Happy New Year and went right back to sleep. So here's hoping for a good year even though it started it out lame.

This is what the next few days will look like for us as I prepare to enter January overnights for the entire month working.

Wish me luck...
