during summer, anything is popsicle

Since coming home from Arkansas, Summer has been pretty slow. We're back to some fun days in the parks, and some work days in the parks. Some of the biggest change was while I was gone, my mom sold her place in Cincinnati to move back to Orlando, and moved in with us temporarily til she found a home. She did find a place and will be moving in the next month or so, but it's been nice getting to catch up for the last few weeks, and even got to spend Mother's Day together at the good ol Magic Kingdom.

Also on our park play days we got to test out the new Soarin' experience, which in my opinion is a little patriotic, and I liked the other version more.

We also tried out the new Rockin Roller Coaster, Muppets edition, and I think I like this version more. It feels a little more timeless, even though the attraction is mostly the same.

Also ran into Adam Duckworth, my children's pastor from my elementary school days!
One of my favorite Disney adventures was the night Mike and I ate in Germany at Epcot at the Biergarten Restaurant and as a big German food fan, this buffet was delicious. The big stand out was the beer cheese soup and chicken schnitzel.
Outside of the Disney Parks, I have had several birthday celebrations at Disney Springs mostly with my Universal team mates.

We also snuck in a Blizzard Beach day before we were blocked out of the water parks for the Summer.
It's always helpful when you like your work, and it's clear I do because I do the same things for fun as I do for work. I had a few park days since being back, which usually means very early mornings, long days, and hot weather. But I love every minute of it. I got to spend the week with Dyson Daniels and his family, and they were wonderful.

Got to see my favorite co worker and the best safari ever too!
Behind the Attraction on Disney+ just came out and Season 3 episode 2 is all about the Disney Destiny. If you remember when I went to Toronto, this was technically what this project was. But I got my name in the credits!!
Mike and I actually made a small appearance in it too enjoying our dinner at Lion King. (I am in the colorful shirt and he is in the blue shirt turned around looking at the drummer right next to his leg).
I also had a few Disney shoot days this hot summer, but this one was extra special since I got thrown in as a hand model.
Still some of the best magic about these shoots though is running into familiar faces.

Another really random job was I ended up at the Collectors Convention hanging out with Pikachu and Soulja Boy. I truly have no idea how I end up in these places sometimes..

Mike and I got to spend another fun day back at Epic Universe and we had such a good time. I highly recommend going to this park in the cooler weather and when you can anticipate lower crowds because it makes all the difference. We were able to ride everything several times and had a great time finally getting to see all the shows and entertainment offerings I had missed during preview.

There has been a lot of family time lately with my mom around more, which I love. Bethany came over for a little swim, and I got to love on her dogs while they went on vacation.
Mom and I took a little adventure to Minneola area for some Fazoli's, Swig, and park time.

My sister Emily got a new puppy, so I got to meet Josie and hang out with Etta!
My mom and I went to a farmers market after house hunting, and I gotta say, I am glad we don't have to house hunt anymore.
This lady is officially a Florida resident again! Congrats mom!

Bethany and I went to the movies to see the Devil Wears Prada 2!
Mike and I also saw the Mandalorian, and Grogu is my new personality.
And Toy Story 5!

I also had brunch with Olivia and Bethany, which was the best cause we are so busy it's impossible to meet up ever.

I got a very last minute call to go to the Bahamas for a work trip before we go camping with Mike's family up north so I am sure there will be lots of fun to be had!
