as soon as i saw you, i knew an adventure was going to happen
There has been some additional fish-ters added to our mermaid collection at work lately, and I am so excited to have these 2 join me in the ocean for swims now! Also, thank you Elysia for fueling my Disney ears addiction...
Also, side bar, we don't spend a lot of time in the park these days because its either incredibly hot or super busy in the park, but I do have to mention I beat my highest score on Ant Man and it was a brag worthy number.
Although I love new faces, I also had to say more goodbyes to some other familiar faces from the costuming team. We had a few farewell celebrations with them, but I am truly wishing them the best of luck and hope they will come back to us soon.We also had a farewell dinner for them at Crystal Jade, where we had some very traditional Chinese food-
Flounder is that you?
And when we're not at work, we visit mall displays for work!-
It was super cute seeing all the kiddos in their princess dresses taking photos with the statues and seeing all the Disney merchandise.
We also visited Harbour City mall's PixarFest, which was a cute little scavenger hunt to find all the different Pixar shorts and displays. Sometimes they have little activities, like this one where you can design your own Soul character.
But my favorite part was using the stamper machine to collect all the stamps on your postcard.
This display was obviously the favorite-The junk boat was such perfect weather, and we had a great day swimming, playing on the slide, snorkeling, kayaking, and eating.
June 18 is the date Mike proposed 4 years ago, and we also celebrated this with a dim sum cruise on the Aqua Luna boat. I really can't believe we had not done this before, because the red sail boats of HK are a classic, but I absolutely loved it.Summer month celebrations can be hard with kids out of school, and no one ever leaving HK to make any plans before everything is all booked up. For our 3rd wedding anniversary we wanted to celebrate with a staycation, however, almost everything was looked into was booked through September, so instead we opted for high tea at the dreamy little hole in the wall, Dear Lilly-
Our lovely, lovely friends Elysia and Elinor also surprised us with a stunning bouquet of flowers for our anniversary as well (love you girls!)-
We like to follow the traditional gifts for wedding anniversaries and the 3rd anniversary is leather gifts. Mike designed and made me a beautiful leather flower with a music box playing our song, and I had designed and sewed him a new wallet.
Happy Anniversary, my love- (more wedding photos HERE)
Some of our other favorite eats this month were also worth mentioning. (This is the part of my blog where I must warn my sisters to stop and grab a snack before continuing to read). One of my absolute favorite spots we went to was Fat Chad's in SYP, where I literally felt like I was eating my cubano in the middle of NYC.
One of my favorite meals was a catch up with Lydia at Chaiwala, where the food was delicious, and the decor reminded me of Disney's Animal Kingdom-
Arirang Korean Hot Dogs, which are my favorite things ever and I need everyone to visit this place so they don't go out of business-

Brunch out on the weekends is slowly becoming one of my favorite things. Of course, unless we're brunching and staying in, because that's also some of my favorite things.
One of my other favorite adventures this month was renting out a movie theater to see Black Widow. I am always in awe of Marvel films and how they seem to amaze me time and time again always, but this movie was so great.
Mike has also been on a few adventures of his own while I am working. He is still teaching science at the tutoring center 3 days a week, but he is also filming commercials and doing other entertainment work. One of his most exciting projects was working on a campaign for GLocalMe portable wifi device as an out of this world hiker-I have heard whispers in the States of things kind of getting scary again with the pandemic, and I hope everyone is staying safe. Nothing has really changed here in HK in months. Numbers are still at 0 local cases daily, masks worn at all times indoors and out, Disney is still closed 2 days a week, we are still technically at groups of 6 people or less, but the number of vaccinations are still so low (about 28%) even though they offer it to everyone ages 12+. I feel very safe here as far as actual infection goes, but I would be lying if I did not say I am definitely getting mask fatigued, especially in the HK summer heat. Alas, we press on.
